SEN Teaching Assistant Role in Lambeth

We are seeking a dedicated and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Lambeth. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their learning journey.

About the Role

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and therapy teams to provide individualized support to students with a range of needs, including communication and interaction, cognition and learning, social, emotional and mental health difficulties, and sensory and/or physical needs.

You will be responsible for providing general support to students, including personal care, hoisting, and feeding, as well as implementing sensory activities, learning through play, and practical experiences to support their learning.

  • A patient and understanding approach
  • An interest in working with students with SEN
  • Flexibility in your approach
  • Clear and strong communication skills
  • Existing DBS check on the update service
