Job Title: Assistant Town Planner

Location: Colchester

Penguin Recruitment is a leading recruitment agency supporting a multidisciplinary practice offering planning, architectural, and engineering services. We are seeking a Town Planner to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Local Authority or Private sector, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team. They will assist with site selection, site appraisals, and feasibility studies, and work closely with clients to ensure their expectations are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with site selection, site appraisals, and feasibility studies.
  2. Coordinate and compile planning submissions, managing them through the determination and post-determination phases.
  3. Work across a variety of sectors, including residential, commercial, and renewable energy projects.
  4. Work closely with clients, ensuring their expectations are met with professionalism and accuracy.

About You:

  1. Experience in Local Authority or Private sector.
  2. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  3. Ability to manage competing demands and prioritize tasks effectively.
  4. Enthusiasm for learning and broad planning interests.
