**About Portfolio Payroll Limited**

We are seeking a Payroll Team Leader to join our team in a dynamic and vibrant environment. As a payroll professional, you will manage the payroll function and provide expert advice on payroll matters, ensuring compliance with statutory legislation and organisational policies.

This is a part-time position based 4 days a week on site. The role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the payroll team, delivering a high-quality and efficient payroll service across the university and its subsidiaries.

The estimated salary for this role is £35,000 - £45,000 per annum.

About the Role

As the Payroll Team Leader, you will ensure timely, accurate, and efficient service delivery, advise senior management and employees on payroll matters, legislation, and procedures, and interpret and implement changes in payroll legislation and policies effectively.

You will also produce and reconcile year-end data, ensuring statutory deadlines are met, act as a subject matter expert, contributing to key projects and policy development, and provide leadership and development to the payroll team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and oversee the payroll team.
  2. Advise senior management and employees on payroll matters.
  3. Evaluate and implement changes in payroll legislation and policies.
  4. Produce and reconcile year-end data.
  5. Act as a subject matter expert in payroll services.
  6. Provide leadership and development to the payroll team.

Essential Experience:

  • People management/Supervisory experience.

Desirable:

  • Higher Educational or Resource Link experience.
