Austin Fraser is seeking a Process Safety Lead to join our team in Cambridge.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our processes are safe and compliant with all relevant regulations. This includes advising on Fire Safety, Hazardous Area Classification, and Process Hazard Assessments, as well as conducting regular site inspections to ensure EHS compliance standards are upheld.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Advising on Fire Safety, Hazardous Area Classification, and Process Hazard Assessments.
  2. Conducting regular site inspections to ensure EHS compliance standards are upheld.
  3. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of EHS legislation and regulations.
  4. Overseeing Effluent Treatment Plant compliance, including coordinating water and air emissions sampling and analysis.
  5. Managing controlled waste disposal, optimizing waste budget, and performing contractor and facility audits to ensure compliance.
  6. Overseeing the reporting system and internal systems to ensure full statutory compliance at both business and departmental levels.
  7. Assisting in site-wide risk assessments, industrial hygiene monitoring, and new chemical assessments, including COSHH risk assessments and control measures.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in EHS, ideally from a manufacturing environment. We are looking for someone with NEBOSH qualifications, ISO9001 & ISO14001 experience, and a strong focus on data and metrics.
