Barnes Roffe Recruitment has partnered with a leading Asset Finance House to find an experienced Operations Manager to join their UK team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Anti Money Laundering and Sanctions, as well as leading a team of 8 specialists in Customer Onboarding and Due Diligence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with group policies and procedures, developing local processes to improve quality and consistency.
  • Manage and coach a team of specialists, monitoring team outputs and stakeholder management.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities, streamlining and eliminating unnecessary steps for maximum efficiency.
  • Oversee new business onboarding and provide advisory support on financial crime matters.
  • Provide regular reports to Local Management and Group Functions.
  • Monitor internal systems and databases for compliance-related information.
  • Develop and deliver training on financial crime subjects.
  • Identify and report system deficiencies.
  • Oversee periodic and event-driven reviews of Customer Due Diligence.

Requirements:

  • Financial services experience with a strong understanding of operational processes.
  • Asset Finance industry experience is a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of Compliance legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent team leadership experience, managing a team of 8.
  • Analytical skills to derive meaningful conclusions from data.
  • AML/Compliance qualifications desired but not essential.
  • Excellent organisation skills with strong attention to detail.
  • A strong communicator with proven stakeholder management experience.
