We are seeking an experienced and inspirational midwifery leader to join our team as Head of Midwifery. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our maternity services and driving forward our Maternity Improvement Programme.



Key Responsibilities



  • Lead the maternity services team and contribute to the development of the service
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and experience
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders to achieve service improvement
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of the improvement plan for maternity services


Requirements



  • Registered midwife with a Master's qualification or evidence of master's level study
  • Formal leadership qualification and evidence of at least 3 years' experience of leadership at 8a or above
  • Evidence of successful use of Quality Improvement methodology and recent operational management experience
  • Desirable: previous experience as head of midwifery, evidence of system working and/or engagement with external stakeholders
