VANRATH is assisting a Major Organics/Waste Company with the recruitment of a Health & Safety Officer to join their growing dynamic team. This role presents a unique opportunity for career development within an established successful business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Development and review of Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments, and Safe Working Procedures for work activities across all sites, ensuring continuous monitoring of changes in working procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits, inspections, and site visits to monitor compliance with good industry practice.
  • Travel between sites regularly and as necessary to support operational requirements.
  • Build strong relationships at all levels to advise on and promote a culture of engagement and continuous improvement in health and safety.
  • Develop and deliver internal training, including toolbox talks, safety alerts, and scheduled in-house training on health, safety, and environmental topics.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of the Company's Health, Safety & Environmental objectives, targets, and initiatives.
  • Support HS&E audits, inspections, and visits from HSENI, Public Authority Bodies, external auditors, customers, etc.
  • Provide Health & Safety induction training for new employees.
  • Collaborate with the delivery of all Health & Safety aspects related to future projects.

This role requires minimum 2 years of experience in a Health and Safety role, NEBOSH or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, and excellent planning, time management, and organisational skills.

Estimated Salary:

£50,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience, plus market-leading benefits and perks.
