Job Summary
The Consultancy and Tenders Manager will play a key role in driving the growth and development of consultancy and tender activity across Durham University. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organized and proactive individual to join our Research Operations Team and contribute to the success of our research-related activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Development
Develop and implement a new model for efficiently seeking, managing, and growing consultancy and tender activity across the university, in collaboration with the Head of Business Development and the Head of Research Operations.
- Expert Advice and Guidance
Provide expert advice and guidance to academics to support the development of consultancy and tender activity across the university, working closely with Durham University's Legal Support team.
- Risk Management and Compliance
Undertake due diligence and risk management activities, proposing actions to mitigate risk, and ensuring contracts and agreements comply with university policies and governance regulations, such as ethical approval requirements.
Requirements
The successful candidate will be highly organized, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and excellent communication skills. They will be able to work across a number of concurrent projects at different stages of development and form close working relationships with members of RIS, Legal Services, Heads of Department, Directors of Research, Department Managers, and other members of Professional Support Staff.
