Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech and Language Specialist to join our team at Dunbar Education. In this role, you will provide crucial support to students with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) through personalized interventions and collaborative work with teachers and parents.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver individualized speech and language therapy to pupils with identified SLCN needs, utilizing evidence-based strategies and techniques.
  2. Collaborate with teachers to integrate speech and language strategies into classroom activities, enhancing the learning experience for all students.
  3. Monitor and assess the progress of pupils, adapting therapy plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  4. Work closely with the school's SENCO, teachers, and external professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to each child's development, promoting a culture of inclusivity and support.
  5. Provide training and support to teaching staff on effective SLCN strategies and interventions, empowering them to make a positive impact on student learning.
