Senior Electrical Controls Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Controls Engineer to join our team at Antony James Recruitment Ltd. As a Senior Electrical Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and specifying electrical controls for high-pressure hydraulic equipment, as well as programming PLC systems for control systems.

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering. You will possess excellent knowledge of Siemens S7 (TIA Portal) and have proven experience in PLC programming, including ladder and high-level programming such as SCL. Additionally, you will have experience in WinCC and HMI designs, as well as functional safety and safety programming.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and specification of electrical controls for high-pressure hydraulic equipment
  2. Programming of PLC systems for control systems
  3. Preparation, assistance, and presentation to potential customers
  4. Liaising with suppliers on technology requirements
  5. Liaising with the sales team on technical support and pre-sales design and information
Requirements:
  1. HND/degree or equivalent
  2. Proven experience in a similar role for 10 years
  3. Knowledge and understanding of Siemens S7 (TIA Portal)
  4. Proven experience in PLC programming, including ladder and high-level programming such as SCL
  5. Experience in WinCC and HMI designs
  6. Functional safety and safety programming experience
  7. Knowledge of electrical controls legislation (regs, LV directive)
