Electrical Engineering Team Lead

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Electrical Engineering Team Lead to lead our dynamic engineering team in maintaining and optimizing their production facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, Mentor, and Develop a Team: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and high performance among a team of electrical engineers and technicians.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Oversee the maintenance and repair of all electrical systems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
  • Project Management: Manage and coordinate electrical projects, from concept to completion, including upgrades, new installations, and process improvements. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all electrical systems and processes comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
  • Technical Support: Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting for complex electrical issues. Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in electrical engineering within the consumer goods sector.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including production, quality, and supply chain, to ensure seamless operation and alignment with overall business goals.
  • Financial Management: Assist with developing and managing the electrical engineering budget, including capital expenditures, maintenance costs, and staffing.

Qualifications:

  • Electrical Engineering Qualification: Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering in the consumer goods or manufacturing industry.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, automation, and control systems used in consumer goods environments.
  • Project Management: Proven experience in project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with PLCs, variable speed drives, and fault finding.
  • Software Knowledge: Experience with maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software.
