Utility Maintenance Technician Job
We are seeking a skilled Utility Maintenance Technician to join our team in the Hertford area. As a Utility Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for electrical servicing, installation, and commissioning of diverse pumping equipment, including Pumps, Pumping Stations, Pump Kiosks, Control Systems, Monitoring Systems etc. This role requires previous experience with pumping equipment, an 18th edition qualification, NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent, and a valid UK driving licence.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Electrical servicing, installations, and commissioning on a variety of pumping equipment
  • Maintenance and monitoring of equipment
  • Optimise equipment through troubleshooting and repairs
  • Respond to service requests and breakdowns
  • Flexibility for overnight stays as needed
  • Log work progress in detailed site reports
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations
  • Provide excellent customer service and act as a positive company representative
  • Drive the company van and maintain with necessary tools and supplies needed
  • Manage petty cash and process payments efficiently

Essential Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Previous experience with pumping equipment
  • 18th edition qualification
  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent
  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Flexible to stay away from home if required
