Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Piping Design Draughtsperson to join our team at Interaction Recruitment. As a key member of our design office, you will work closely with multiple disciplines to deliver packages of technical drawings that meet project and client requirements.

Main Responsibilities
  • Travel around the UK to carry out site surveys and gather information for design purposes.
  • Develop and modify models within 3D AutoCAD and Cadworx as requested by the Pipework Design Manager.
  • Create technical drawings (GAs, Layouts, detail drawings, P&IDs etc.) from the 3D model.
  • Produce fabrication isometrics from the Cadworx model.
  • Generate bills of materials and ensure accuracy.
  • Present models during design reviews and effectively communicate with stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in a design office, preferably in the processing industry.
  • Strong understanding of P&IDs drawing convention and symbology.
  • Proficiency in creating fabrication isometrics.
  • Experience with 3D AutoCAD and Cadworx (training will be provided).
  • Ability to model steelwork structures and skids.
  • Knowledge of ASME codes, specifically B31.3.
  • Surveying experience and 3D Lidar Scanning skills are desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 product suite.
  • HNC or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Valid driving license and any necessary safety passports.
