Job Title: Actuarial Risk Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Risk Analyst to join our team in London. As an Actuarial Risk Analyst, you will be responsible for managing reserving for complex general insurance lines of business.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have an undergraduate degree in mathematics, statistics or actuarial science and 18+ months of work experience. You will also possess excellent analytical, research and problem-solving skills, as well as advanced mathematical / financial / statistical aptitude.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including a pension scheme and life assurance.

As an Actuarial Risk Analyst at AXA XL, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge analyses, strategies and solutions addressing a wide range of actuarial risks and issues facing our organisation.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Reinsurance Reserving: Manage reserving for complex general insurance lines of business.
  • Risk Analytics: Develop analytical tools, analyse reinsurance risk, engage in regulatory capital modelling activities, and provide general support for risk analytics within the company.
  • Technical Provisions: Assist in setting up technical provisions for the Solvency II balance sheet.
  • Quarterly Reporting: Assist with reporting actuarial results to senior management on a quarterly basis.
  • Management Queries: Respond promptly to management queries and concerns, resolving issues efficiently.
