Welsh-Medium Teaching Assistant Position

We are seeking a dedicated and bilingual Welsh-Medium Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant school in Cardiff. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about education and fluent in Welsh, who are eager to support students in their learning and development.

About the Role

This position involves working closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons and provide essential support to pupils, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in preparing and delivering lessons, ensuring activities are accessible to all students.
  • Support individual pupils or small groups, offering guidance to help them meet their learning goals.
  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and collaboration.
  • Monitor and encourage pupils' progress, providing feedback to teachers as needed.
  • Help with classroom organisation and administrative tasks, contributing to the smooth running of the school day.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated daily rate for this position is £76.98-£85 per day. We offer competitive remuneration and opportunities for professional growth.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Fluent Welsh speaker (essential).
  • Previous experience working with children, ideally in a school setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • A commitment to promoting the Welsh language and culture within education.
