We are currently seeking a skilled Cyber Security Specialist to join our team as a Security Advisor on the MOD Business Modernisation project. This is a contract position with an estimated duration of 3 months, although longer-term opportunities may arise.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide security advice and guidance to the MOD Business Modernisation programme, ensuring compliance with relevant cybersecurity standards and regulations. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Producing a monthly Security Briefing document to highlight key points from the previous month and activities planned for the next period.
  2. Developing a comprehensive BMfS SbD Framework document, encompassing cyber and security programme governance, artefact assurance models, and continuous risk assessment/review frameworks.
  3. Facilitating BMfS Security Working Group meetings every three months and specialist sub-Security Working Group meetings as required.
  4. Creating a BMfS Organisational Risk Assessment report, aligned with NIST 800-37 tasks P1-P7.
  5. Producing a BMfS Threat Assessment report.
  6. Developing a draft SRO Risk Appetite statement.
  7. Crafting a Cyber Risk reporting and governance model.
  8. Providing regular SbD update briefings to the BMfS Programme Board.
  9. Maintaining a library of implementation plans, artifacts, and controls, cultivated from successful projects, for adaptation and reuse across the Programme.
  10. Contributing to the Programme and projects' Learning Form Experience (LFE) reports to ensure SbD lessons are captured correctly.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will require:

  • A current SC Clearance.
  • Experience in producing framework documentation.
  • Skills in Security and Compliance.
