Structural CAD Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our team at Jobs Butler Ltd. The ideal candidate will have experience in CAD software and a strong understanding of structural engineering principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed CAD drawings (2D and 3D) for fabrication and construction of structural steelwork, staircases, and mezzanine floors.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure drawings meet technical specifications and project requirements.
- Review and revise drawings based on client feedback, ensuring all modifications comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide technical support to fabrication teams during the manufacturing and installation phases.
- Maintain accurate records of drawings and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct site visits as needed to gather measurements and assess project requirements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CAD Technician in an engineering or structural environment.
- Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, particularly related to steelwork and mezzanine floor designs.
- Ability to interpret and produce detailed engineering drawings for fabrication.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working on mezzanine floors, structural steel, or related fabrication projects.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Experience using 3D modelling software or BIM software (e.g., Revit).
