Job Title: Commodities Operations Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Commodities Operations Specialist to join our team at Black Swan Group. As a Commodities Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting our Energy Trading team with day-to-day trade management across Gas and Power trading activities and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage energy commodity trades, including trade bookings, trade capture, trade enrichment, and trade life cycle management.
  • Collaborate with traders to ensure accurate and timely trade execution.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to drive operational excellence and efficiency.
  • Work closely with the Energy Trading team to identify and mitigate risks associated with commodity trading.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders, including traders and risk managers.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a fast-paced commodities trading environment, preferably in a middle office or operations role.
  • Proven experience in trade operations, including trade booking, capture, and life cycle management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with traders, risk managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary range of £50,000 to £60,000 per annum, plus benefits and discretionary bonus.
