We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our infrastructure team in a rapidly changing environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and administration of our Veeam Backup and Replication infrastructure.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring the security, availability, and integrity of our data through efficient and effective backup and recovery solutions. You will have in-depth knowledge of Veeam products and experience with various storage and virtualization technologies.

Key responsibilities include configuring and administering vSphere environments, managing virtual machines, and implementing best practices for virtualization management. You will also be responsible for managing and maintaining the VMware vCenter infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and scalability of virtual environments.

About You

We are looking for a problem solver with strong communication skills who has at least 3-5 years of experience managing Veeam and VMware systems. You will have a strong working knowledge of Vmware systems and be able to act as a Vcenter administrator, configuring and managing a VMware environment, performing upgrades, troubleshooting, and managing an estate of 700 virtual machines.

You will be part of a highly skilled infrastructure team and will be able to draw on the skills of other team members as they will draw on your skills to help manage the environment.

We are looking for a self-starter who can manage their own workload, look for improvements, bring their own ideas and knowledge, and be willing to embrace new technologies and learn on the job.
