Warehouse & Distribution Manager

Peridot Recruit Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse & Distribution Manager to lead our Aberdeen and Dundee depots. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of all service commitments, driving operational excellence, and managing an engaged and productive team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead from the Front: Take ownership of the warehouse and distribution operations, guiding a skilled team to achieve peak performance.
  • Operational Excellence: Optimise operational costs, manage resources effectively, and ensure KPIs are met and exceeded.
  • Customer-Centric Focus: Place the customer at the heart of everything, ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of all service commitments.
  • Develop Your Team: Mentor, inspire, and build a team that reflects the core values of respect, integrity, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Drive Results: Have a keen eye for sales targets, team performance, and operational efficiencies.

About You:

  • You're firm but fair, capable of making tough decisions while maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • You have a proven track record in warehouse, distribution, or retail management, with a strong focus on delivering results.
  • You excel at leading teams, mentoring others, and developing talent, ensuring your team is motivated to hit targets and exceed expectations.
  • You're commercially savvy, with a focus on maximising profits and minimising loss, while always putting the customer first.
  • You're organised, proactive, and confident in managing a fast-paced environment where operational excellence is key.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in a service-focused business or a retail environment with a strong customer service ethos.
  • Success in managing KPIs, delivering sales and service targets, and driving operational efficiency.
  • A track record of recruiting, developing, and leading teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office packages and experience in managing compliance across Health & Safety, GDPR, and Quality Control.
  • The ability to travel between Aberdeen and Dundee depots as part of your remit.
