Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Chef to join our team at Aramark. As a Chef, you will be responsible for cooking and preparing food for our clients. This is a full-time position, and you will be working 37.5 hours per week, 5 days over 7, including alternate weekends.

Key Responsibilities

Cooking and preparing food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, handling up to 1,000 meals at a time.
Supporting the effective delivery of special functions or events.
Working well as part of a team of chefs, supporting one another and communicating effectively.
Following recipe cards to prepare, cook, and serve a variety of meals.
Completing daily paperwork to ensure due diligence.
Assisting with deliveries and stock checks.
Sharing responsibility with the Chef Manager/Catering Manager for checking, probing, and signing off on all food deliveries.
Monitoring and recording temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets, and serveries.
Assisting in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans.
Having full knowledge of all menu items served.
Managing production and food levels to ensure minimal wastage.
Acting as a trainer/coach for new team members to learn procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks.
Undertaking relevant training as required.

Requirements

Relevant culinary qualification.
Previous experience in a similar role.
Driving licence desirable.
A CTC Security check will be required.
Must be eligible to work in the UK.
Allergen awareness.
Excellent team player and communicator.

What We Offer

£13.78 per hour.
Full time - 37.5 hours per week, 5 days over 7 including alternate weekends.
