About the Role

To manufacture, assemble and build Marshall specialist projects using engineering drawings and associated design data to meet the business and customer expectations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of production methods and processes, as well as the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and design data.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Production Managers and Team Leaders to ensure that all MLS projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standard.
  • Ensuring all tasks are carried out within the allocated time.
  • Understanding and working to Marshall configuration control processes.
  • Maintaining Marshall production processes and procedures.
  • Following and working in line with Marshall Health and Safety management systems.
  • Taking an active role in continuous improvements, including lean and 5s procedures.
  • Maintaining a clean and compliant work area at all times.
  • Identifying equipment and tooling required to the line manager.
  • Attending and supporting production meetings if required.
  • Completing daily timesheets.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Completed a City and Guilds Apprenticeship or equivalent in Vehicle Body Building, Mechanical Fitting or a Manufacturing and Assembly Qualification.
  • Experience in Vehicle Body Building, Mechanical Fitting or equivalent trade.
  • Understanding and experience in Assembly processes and techniques.
  • Competent skills gained through training and experience and ability to communicate within team.
  • Understanding of policies and procedures required within a workshop environment.
  • Understanding of Production methods and processes.
  • Competent understanding and ability to read engineering drawings and associated design data.
  • Understanding of planning methods and skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of Appraisals/PDR's.
