About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Homes for Students. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our student accommodation properties, providing a high-quality customer experience for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including painting, unblocking drains, fixing taps, and changing lightbulbs.
  • Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify and report any maintenance issues.
  • Respond to resident requests for maintenance and repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Work collaboratively with the facilities team to ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of health and safety procedures and protocols.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in property maintenance or a related trade.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with residents and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Valid driving license and ability to drive a company vehicle.
