Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our transport team at Stericycle. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the safe and timely collection, movement, and unloading of healthcare waste from hospitals on a designated route.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive our fleet of Class 1 vehicles, completing all associated paperwork and relevant documentation via a hand-held terminal.
  • Work as part of our busy and valued transport team, involved in the safe and timely collection, movement, and unloading of healthcare waste.
  • Interact with customers at all levels, providing excellent customer service and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Undertake heavy lifting and physically demanding work, involving the safe movement of large wheeled units on and off vehicles.

Requirements:

  • Relevant driving experience and an LGV Class 1 Licence (with C+E entitlement), as well as a Full Driver CPC and Digi Card, preferably linked to an ADR certificate - packages 6.1/ 6.2.
  • The ability to undertake heavy lifting and physically demanding work, involving the safe movement of large wheeled units on and off vehicles.
  • A willingness to go that 'extra mile' for our customers, along with the confidence to interact with them at all levels.
