About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Relief Family Group Conference Coordinator to join our team at Gilbride Management Group (GMG). As a Relief FGC Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting vulnerable families and children in making informed decisions that safeguard their well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with children and parents/carers to identify their needs and develop a plan to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Facilitate and chair Family Group Conferences to bring together family members, friends, and other stakeholders to make informed decisions.
  • Manage difficult situations that may arise during conferences and provide support to families to resolve conflicts and focus on the needs of the child.
  • Work with the team to develop and implement plans to support families and children in need.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers, police, and healthcare providers, to ensure a comprehensive approach to supporting families and children.

Requirements:

  • A Diploma (NVQ or BTEC Level 3) or Degree in Social Work, Youth Work, Health, Education, Advocacy, Police, Mediation, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum of three years' experience and expertise in working with vulnerable families and children in settings related to children or family work.
  • Able to work flexible hours to meet the needs of families, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to analyze complex and sensitive information, write reports, and support families to write their plans.
  • For this role, you are required to have a full UK driving license and provide evidence of your vehicle insurance with business cover and use of a vehicle.
