Job Title: Principal Layout Designer

GBR Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Principal Layout Designer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in New Build Housing operations, with expertise in using AutoCAD and Revit software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design layouts for land bids, feasibility studies, and master planning.
  • Collaborate with the wider business to ensure critical analysis of layouts is fully accommodated.
  • Ensure stakeholder considerations and approvals are obtained and incorporated.
  • Assist in maintaining working drawing packages and submitting technical information to NHBC/Building Control.
  • Coordinate information between third-party companies to enable the design of specialist building components.
Requirements:
  • Strong layout design experience in New Build Housing operations.
  • HNC/Level 4 in construction/urban design is essential.
  • Foundation degree/HND/Level 5 is desirable.
  • Good knowledge/experience using AutoCAD/Revit or similar industry-standard software.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
