Butler Rose is partnering with a dynamic Practice firm to find a skilled Practice Accountant to support their team.

This office-based role is based in the MK area, and the salary will be commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit CIS details to HMRC, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage VAT return preparation in Excel, utilizing bridging software from Iris/PTP.
  • Utilize Xero to its full potential, with expertise in apps that integrate with the platform.
  • Assist with accounts production, including trial balance, fixed asset reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare personal tax returns for subcontractors in the CIS industry, as well as simple director salary and dividend processing.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an Accountancy Practice.
  • Strong background in VAT, with proficiency in HMRC software.
  • Experience in management accounts and personal tax is a plus.
  • Excellent MS Excel skills, with knowledge of QuickBooks and Xero.
  • A hardworking and dependable individual who can hit the ground running.
