Job Overview

We're seeking a seasoned Senior Building Surveyor to lead our Surveying and Project Management Team in delivering high-value refurbishment projects across our diverse portfolio.

As a key member of our team, you'll play a pivotal role in managing complex projects, providing expert building and construction advice to our internal teams, and driving business plans forward through sustainable, innovative refurbishment projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and delivery of major refurbishment projects, ensuring cost-effective and timely completion
  • Offer strategic building advice on tenant alterations, repairs, and dilapidations claims
  • Conduct pre-acquisition due diligence and advise on refurbishment costs to feed into business plans
  • Work closely with external consultants, Facilities Managers, and authorities to ensure smooth project execution
  • Oversee the preparation of design and contract documentation, tendering, contract administration, and financial control
  • Provide comprehensive project management, from scope and budgeting through to handover

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in building surveying within commercial property management
  • A strong leader who is comfortable directing external consultants and collaborating across teams
  • MRICS qualification with a solid knowledge of property and project management
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on achieving results
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • A creative approach to tackling complex developments and delivering value-driven solutions
  • Strong commitment to health and safety, as well as financial and commercial awareness
