You'll be based on site at one of the Heysham Power Stations, within the Environmental Safety Group. You'll gain invaluable hands-on experience while being mentored by highly skilled professionals. Our customised training programme will help you launch your career in Environmental Safety, with a real job at a junior level.

We're looking for candidates who are on track to achieve, or have already achieved, a 2:2 undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Maths, Physics, Science or Engineering. Strong technical and analytical skills, along with a genuine desire to learn and develop new capabilities, are essential qualities for this role.

The estimated salary for this position is £23,250 per annum. You'll have the opportunity to work on projects improving waste management processes for non-radioactive waste, performing routine monitoring and preparing regulatory reports for sea water usage and oil accountancy, collecting and managing data for UK Emissions trading scheme compliance, and calibration and quality control of liquid scintillation counters and gamma spectrometers.
