SEMH Teaching Assistant Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and dynamic school environment in Hatfield.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Work one-to-one or in small groups with students who have a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
  • Assist the classroom teacher in creating a safe and nurturing learning environment that promotes academic and personal growth.
  • Support children's emotional and social development through positive reinforcement and constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that cater to each child's unique needs.
  • Help students build confidence, independence, and skills that extend beyond the classroom.
Requirements:
  • A genuine passion for working with children with SEN and a commitment to delivering high-quality support.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential; we offer comprehensive training and development opportunities.
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic nature, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • A desire to pursue a career in education and make a positive impact on young lives.
  • A relevant qualification such as Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning would be advantageous but is not required.
