Job Title: Stroke Physician

We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Stroke Physician to join our dynamic team at Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our Stroke Team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our stroke services.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and train junior medical staff
  • Manage patients on the Hyperacute Stroke Unit
  • Contribute to running the 7/7 TIA clinic
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences
  • Take part in the on-call stroke rota with prospective cover
  • Teaching and administration
  • Develop the Stroke Service along with other Consultants at NGH
Requirements:
  • GMC registration
  • Possession of MRCP
  • At least 3 years' experience of Acute general medicine
  • Experience of hyperacute stroke care and thrombolysis
  • Experience of stroke rehabilitation
  • MD, PhD or other higher degree
