Construction Lawyer Opportunity

Thomson LRC is seeking a skilled Construction Lawyer to join their Edinburgh-based team. As a key member of the team, you will work on a variety of construction matters, including construction, projects, and environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise on every aspect of Construction Law across all sectors of the industry, both contentious and non-contentious.
  • Work on a variety of construction matters, including construction, projects, and environment.
  • Provide project support and advice to the wider Real Estate, Banking, and Projects teams.
  • Contribute to the general upkeep of the group, including training, precedents, and know-how.
  • Support complex transactions, liaising and coordinating with fee earners from other relevant disciplines as needed.

Requirements:

  • Circa 2+ PQE experience in non-contentious construction law, ideally set in construction or projects and gained within a comparable environment and at an appropriate level.
  • Experience of drafting a variety of construction documents and experience of JCT contracts (or other standard forms such as NEC3).
  • Ability to contribute to the general upkeep of the group, whether that be to training, precedents, or know-how generally.
  • Ability to actively support complex transactions, liaising and coordinating with fee earners from other relevant disciplines as needed.
