Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly team of over 15 TAs to work with a mixed SEN School within Lancaster, providing support for 5-16-year-olds.

The role is temporary but may lead to a permanent contract. The daily rate is £89 per day, depending on experience.

About the Role

This large 'Good' SEN School prides itself on its outstanding facilities such as a multi-sensory room, therapy room, outdoor area offering an outdoor classroom, and much more. They have a fantastic team dedicated to supporting their pupils.

The school is based in Lancaster, with lots of free parking and excellent public transport links.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with a range of SEN needs, particularly with Autism.
  • Work on a 1:1 basis as well as in small groups.
Requirements
  1. Level 3 qualification (NVQ or equivalent) in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
  2. Previous experience working with autism.
  3. An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional reference checks.
  4. A CV that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible, and any employment breaks must be explained.
  5. The legal right to work in the UK.
