Job Title: Complex Needs Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Complex Needs Support Worker to join our team at a special school serving pupils with a variety of learning difficulties, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalized support to pupils with complex needs, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Assist pupils with daily living tasks, mobility, communication, and learning, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Develop and implement individual education plans, behavior plans, and risk assessments to meet the unique needs of each pupil.
  • Collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for pupils.
  • Monitor and document pupils' progress, achievements, and wellbeing, providing regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or relevant experience working with complex needs.
  • Understanding of the needs of pupils with complex challenges and a commitment to providing high-quality support.
  • Positive, patient, and empathetic approach to building rapport with pupils and their families.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare, with a focus on creating a safe and supportive environment.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
