Occupational Health Manager Position

At Wincanton Trans European Limited, we seek a dedicated and skilled Occupational Health Manager to lead our site's health and safety initiatives.

The chosen candidate will oversee and implement effective health and safety practices to ensure compliance with statutory and company regulations. This involves managing and facilitating all site health and safety activities, promoting a safety-first culture, and monitoring progress towards set goals.

The salary for this role is £27,000 - £30,000 per annum plus benefits, reflecting its significance in supporting the company's overall objectives.

Your Key Accountabilities:
  • Report and escalate all accidents/incidents/near misses/hazards through the site internal escalation procedure.
  • Support managers in accident/incident/near miss investigations when necessary.
  • Maintain ongoing adherence to environmental and safety guidelines.
  • Carry out detailed health and safety inspections and evaluations.
  • Guarantee timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Facilitate the team and site in achieving set objectives and performance indicators.
  • Maintain updated H&S documentation as required.
  • Support the development and presentation of toolbox talks and H&S briefs.
  • Update H&S communication displays across the site.
Your Key Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in Health and Safety administration.
  • A sound understanding of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
