Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Floor Plan QA to ensure that architectural floor plans meet our company's and clients' quality standards before final approval and distribution. This position involves detailed reviews, comparisons, and cross-referencing between client specifications and floor plans to detect discrepancies, errors, or inconsistencies in measurements, layouts, symbols, and annotations.

The ideal candidate will possess a background in surveying, an understanding of measurement standards, and the ability to effectively communicate and document measurement procedures and results.

  • Tasks and Responsibilities:
    • Document and ensure clarity in the principles of measurement and calculation, specifying intended use, applicable standard, method of measurement, unit of measurement, and date of measurement.
    • Review architectural floor plans for compliance with design standards, project requirements, and client specifications.
    • Verify accuracy of measurements, dimensions, and scaling on all floor plans.
    • Check symbols, annotations, and legends for clarity and correctness.
    • Maintain documentation of QA processes, defects identified, and corrective measures taken.
    • Ensure timely turnaround on quality checks to meet project deadlines.

Knowledge, Skills & Training:

To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or a related field, with strong knowledge of architectural floor plans, building layouts, and construction drawings. You should also be proficient with RICS Code of Measuring Practice and have comprehensive understanding of International Property Measurement Standards (IPMS).
