Job Summary:

Thorn Baker Group is seeking a skilled Production Operative to join our team in the Finishing Department. As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for operating machines, working on a production line, and learning production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate machines and equipment to produce high-quality products
  • Work on a production line, assembling products ready for delivery
  • Use hand-held assisted cranes to move heavy metal materials
  • Provide support to other members of the team and learn new skills
  • Work in a dusty environment and maintain a high level of productivity

Requirements:

  • Strong desire to learn new skills and take on new challenges
  • Experience on a production line or in a manufacturing environment
  • Good work ethic, punctuality, and availability for overtime
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal

What We Offer:

  • Night Shifts: £16.18 per hour (20:00 - 06:00)
  • Day Shifts: £13.51 per hour (06:00 - 16:00)
  • Rotational shifts, Monday to Thursday
  • Overtime paid on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
  • PPE provided and on-site changing and showering facilities

Working Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a dusty environment and will need to have a background in manufacturing, production, or machine operative experience.
