Job Description

Role Definition

We are seeking a highly experienced Marine Systems Design Lead to join our team at AVENTA. As a key member of our offshore design team, you will be responsible for providing guidance on how to perform Marine Systems design and setting up internal workflows for assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Studying and defining the best technical solutions for Marine Systems
  • Reviewing technical documentation produced by the team before issuance
  • Teamwork and collaboration with immediate and wider teams
  • Liaising with other disciplines during project execution
  • Awareness of pipeline design standards requirements and correct application of Company HSEQ policies
  • Awareness of naval and Structural interfaces with the marine systems
  • Reviewing project documentations provided by contractors/Shipyards

Requirements:

  • Degree in an appropriate engineering discipline such as mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture (with focus on Marine Systems)
  • Highly experienced with the writing of technical specifications and functional requirements for the marine systems in FPSO and FLNG, during the Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) and execution on FPSO/FLNG projects
  • Experience of working on or monitoring of FEED and EPC LNG projects, Seagoing experience as second/chief engineer, experience in working with Oil Tankers/ LNG Carriers, experience as a Classification Society, surveyor or Tanker/LNG Ship Vetting engineer, OPITO certified for offshore travel would be preferable

Working Arrangements:

We operate a SmartWorking policy allowing personnel to work for up to 12 working days/month from home or a similar secure location. As such, typically around 60% of time working remotely is available for individuals who wish to take advantage of this.
