Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 (DOE)

We are seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead our engineering consultancy efforts in the renewable energy sector. The successful candidate will have a strong background in producing design risk assessments and FMECA documentation, as well as expertise in structural analysis tools such as SolidWorks Simulation, PDM, ANSYS, and/or STAAD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed designs for offshore equipment, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Lead engineering consultancy activities, ensuring projects meet deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Perform design verification and validation through rigorous analysis and documentation.
  • Oversee the engineering design process, with a focus on health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Provide technical support to workshop, procurement, and operational teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Contribute to commercial activities by assisting in the creation of concept designs and providing input for tenders.

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years post-graduation experience within a relevant engineering industry.
  • Chartered Engineer status with a recognised engineering body.
  • Strong background in producing design risk assessments and FMECA documentation.
  • Skilled in structural analysis tools such as SolidWorks Simulation, PDM, ANSYS, and/or STAAD.
