Esperanza Arts Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to oversee all aspects of production and events. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical production, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and coordinate all technical and production-related duties, including audio, lighting, and video systems.
- Supervise and train production staff, including interns and contractors.
- Coordinate with artists, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of events.
- Monitor and control production budgets and expenditures.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
- 3+ years of experience in production management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of technical production systems and equipment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in Spanish and English preferred.
The Production Manager will work in a fast-paced environment, often under tight deadlines. The position requires occasional evening and weekend work, as well as travel to events and conferences.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, push/pull, and lift theater arts equipment, props, sound/stage equipment.
Operate standard office equipment; frequent desktop computer work.
Theatrical lighting will range from conventional minimal set-up to a combination of strobe, video, and other dynamic stage effects and environments.
Work is primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor productions.
Light travel in the local area to attend events, programs, and community forums.
Position may require occasional trips to attend relevant conferences, seminars, and meetings.
