Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant

Our vibrant and inclusive primary school in Barnet is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible.

We pride ourselves on providing a supportive and enriching environment for both students and staff, fostering a love of learning and ensuring every child reaches their full potential.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with children and helping them achieve their best. They will be required to support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons to students in Key Stage 2 (ages 7-11).

As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide one-on-one or small group support for students with varying academic needs, including SEN (Special Educational Needs). You will also help to create a positive and supportive classroom environment where all students feel confident to ask questions and contribute.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons to students in Key Stage 2 (ages 7-11).
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support for students with varying academic needs, including SEN (Special Educational Needs).
  • Help to create a positive and supportive classroom environment where all students feel confident to ask questions and contribute.
  • Assist with the assessment and monitoring of student progress.
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children in a classroom setting is desirable but not essential.
  • A relevant qualification, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • A clear DBS check.

Salary: £90 - £105 per day depending on experience.
