Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Headteacher to join our team as Pastoral/DSL. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategically lead attendance, behaviour, and personal development through effective planning and communication.
  • Lead safeguarding and be the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), working closely with the safeguarding officer.
  • Line manage the Director of Behaviour, Heads of Year, and Pastoral/Conduct staff.
  • Manage the Fair Access Process (FAP) for the school.
  • Represent the school in admission appeals meetings.
  • Manage the in-year transfer process and provide school admission support.
  • Manage the Alternative Provision program and lead its QA.
  • Lead the transition process for Y6 to Y7.
  • Oversee assemblies and strategically lead the annual program of assemblies.
  • Strategic lead of parent communication, ensuring effective and impactful communication.
