We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our Engineering Department at Conrad London St James, a luxury hotel in the heart of Westminster. As a Painter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the hotel's high standards of quality and service by ensuring that all guest rooms, public areas, and other spaces are beautifully painted and polished.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, paint, and polish work in hotel rooms and public areas to the highest standards of quality and finish.
  • Complete decorating schedules on time and to the required standard, ensuring that all work is completed to the satisfaction of our guests and management.
  • Ensure the safe storage of all paints and solvents, adhering to all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Maintain all tools, equipment, and working areas in proper condition, ensuring that they are clean, tidy, and well-maintained.
  • Follow all health and safety rules within the Department and the hotel, taking responsibility for your own safety and the safety of others.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service when interacting with guests, providing a warm and welcoming experience that reflects the Conrad London St James brand.

Requirements:

  • A trade qualification in Painting is preferred, but not essential. Previous painting experience is required, and a strong understanding of painting techniques and materials is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required, as you will be working closely with other Team Members and guests.
  • Ability to work without close supervision and within established timeframes, taking initiative and responsibility for your work.
  • Strong work ethic and a passion for delivering high-quality work are essential, as well as a willingness to learn and develop your skills.

  • Conveniently located near St James Park Tube Station, with easy access to the District and Circle Lines.
  • Close proximity to Westminster Tube Station, with the Jubilee Line just a short walk away.
  • Excellent transport links to Victoria Station and Waterloo Station, making it easy to get to and from work.
