Job Description:

**Company:** A leading global manufacturer of high precision components is seeking a talented Production Engineer to join their team in the automotive retail industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing current processes and existing methods of manufacture, working on volume outputs, scrap/rework, quality, safety, and delivery commitments. They will also support the creation of new manuals and staff training, assist with plant layouts to ensure material flow is maximised, and work on production capacity planning and forecasting.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Conduct thorough reviews of current processes and existing methods of manufacture to identify areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with the production team to achieve volume outputs, reduce scrap/rework, and improve quality and safety standards.
  • Support the development of new manuals and staff training programs to ensure a high level of competence among production staff.
  • Assist with the design and implementation of plant layouts to optimise material flow and improve efficiency.
  • Contribute to production capacity planning and forecasting to ensure accurate predictions and efficient resource allocation.
  • Drive continuous improvement programs on site to promote a culture of excellence and innovation.

**Requirements:**

  • Relevant manufacturing or mechanical engineering education (HND/HNC).
  • Experience working within a similar role (Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer etc).
  • Ability to use relevant tools (PFMEA etc) and drive continuous improvement.
