About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at Clayburn Court in Peterborough. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality catering service to our residents, ensuring that every meal is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals to a high standard, adhering to health, safety, and hygiene guidelines.
- Ensure that all food is stored, handled, and cooked safely, minimizing waste and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Work collaboratively with the Chef Manager and other kitchen staff to maintain a smooth and efficient service.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents, responding to their dietary needs and preferences.
Requirements
- Level 2 food safety certificate and experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures, including COSHH.
- Previous experience in a catering environment, with a focus on food safety and kitchen hygiene.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and maintaining a high level of productivity.
