Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Press Operations Expert to join our team at Reach plc. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our presses and maintaining the highest levels of print quality.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage and operate the reelstand efficiently, ensuring smooth production flow and optimal print quality.
  • Conduct regular checks and maintenance on the press to prevent downtime and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the production team to achieve high-quality print outputs and meet tight deadlines.
  • Monitor and adjust the ink and water balance to achieve vibrant and consistent prints.
  • Implement and maintain web tensions to ensure consistent print quality and prevent defects.
  • Participate in quality control checks and make necessary adjustments to register controls to achieve precise results.

Requirements

  • Experience in Press Operations to No2 level.
  • An NVQ Level 2 in press operations is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to focus on quality.
  • A good awareness of HSE standards and regulations.
  • Computer literate and familiar with manufacturing best practice and lean principles.
