We are currently looking for a highly skilled SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at a fantastic Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Liverpool.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 6 months experience working in an educational establishment, with strong behaviour management skills and knowledge of working with pupils with challenging behaviour.

You will be responsible for supporting students on a one-to-one basis with curriculum support as well as in small groups with class-based activities.

The school supports pupils in Key Stages 3 and 4 who display challenging behaviour and have a variety of Special Educational Needs including Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH).

About the Job
  • Provide individualised support to students with complex needs
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning and delivery
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Monitor student progress and report back to teachers and other stakeholders
