Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Static Stress Repair Engineer to join our dynamic and reactive team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing and validating metallic and composite structures for static strength to support structural repairs according to validated methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide stress analysis and signatory support to sub-contractor generated structural analysis work, mainly repair procedures and justification documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to airworthiness regulations, relevant design principles, processes, methods, and manufacturing capabilities guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Repair Design and F&DT Engineers to ensure the strategy, policy, and direction of the integrated engineering team is maintained.
  • Verify repair documentation delivered from subcontractors and provide signature support as required.

Requirements:

  • Must have held delegated repair stress signature for SA and LR Airbus aircraft, for SAS and TD.
  • Ability to communicate clearly both written and verbally to all levels of the organization, set objectives, and prioritize to time, cost, and quality.
  • Hold or have previously held Stress approval signature for TD and SAS for metallic or composite structures.
  • Static analysis of aircraft structures using a range of hand and computer methods.
  • Ability to liaise/negotiate with Design, Customer Services, and suppliers.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent PC skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
