Job Description:

The Senior Community & Intervention Worker provides day-to-day leadership, advice, and guidance to develop and supervise a team of Community Sports Workers in providing focussed interventions with children, young people, and communities. This role operates countywide and supports the development of an exciting new project working closely with professionals from a range of agencies to address antisocial behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to prevent and reduce antisocial behaviour among children and young people.
  • Provide training and guidance to Community Sports Workers to ensure effective delivery of focussed interventions.
  • Work closely with local authorities, schools, and other stakeholders to promote collaborative working and identify opportunities for partnership development.

Requirements:

  • A relevant professional qualification in youth work or community sports development/coaching at level 3 or above.
  • Nationally recognised coaching qualification(s).
  • Relevant practice experience in Children's services or similar field.
  • Knowledge/understanding of key issues impacting young people, adolescent risk-taking behaviour, and trauma-informed approaches.
