Support Worker

Active Care Group is committed to providing exceptional care to our clients, and we are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Female Support Worker to join our team in a live-in package in Worcestershire.
As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing personal care and support to our client, who has a spinal cord injury, and assisting them with daily activities such as washing, dressing, and toileting.
You will also be required to assist with household chores, prepare meals, and provide emotional support to our client.
Our ideal candidate will have a full clean driving licence, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a genuine interest in providing person-centred care.
We offer a competitive salary of £115 up to £135 per day, depending on experience and qualifications, as well as accrued holiday pay, a Nest Personal Pension account, and the opportunity to develop your career with Active Care Group.

Meet our client:
Our client is a lovely gentleman who enjoys being active and has two dogs that he adores.
When you'll be working:
- Rolling rota 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off
- Living in the client's home 24/7 when on shift
- Zero hour contract with regular shifts
What you will be doing:
- Assist the client to exercise choice and control over their own lives as far as they are able
- Liaise with and support the family as required
- Assist the client to ensure an adequate level of hygiene is maintained
- Support the client to use local amenities and attend community events
- Follow the service user plan as documented for the client
- Maintain accurate and confidential records
- Participate in manual handling procedures as specified for the client
- Maintain professional boundaries with the client and their family members
What you will have:
- A full clean driving licence
- A genuine interest in providing person-centred care
- Previous experience of working with individuals with a spinal injury is desirable but not essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and develop
- Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
